The Gardens by the Bay cover a huge expanse of land, with the Marina Bay Hotel an ever present sight in the background. The Flower Dome has fixed displays of plants from temperate and arid regions of the world, and an ever changing exhibition depending on the time of year. So, we saw pumpkins galore as part of a Harvest Festival display. There were signs everywhere saying “Yes, these are real!”, as some of the pumpkins seemed too large to be real.

The entrance to the Cloud Forest is a little damp, but quite welcome in baking Singapore. This is my favourite of the two flower domes as it is always full of spectacular flowers, interesting wooden sculptures, and the elevated walkway provides stunning views of both the inside and the outside of the dome.
